Pulled into the dog mushing world by our daughter (Ellie) when she was 8 years old, we can offer you the chance to go by dog power... Twelve days after turning 18, Ellie became the youngest person to ever run the 1,200 mile long Iditarod Dog Sled Race in March, 2004. She and 16 of her best dogs completed the arduous journey in 11 days and 19 hours. The Anchorage to Nome race covers some of the most inhospitable ice covered land on earth. Listen in awe as she talks about her adventure. Visit her 50+ dog kennel and see the joy with which the dogs greet her and respect her.
